View AllWhat is TG-RERA?
The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TG-RERA) was established under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 to regulate and promote the real estate sector in Telangana. TG-RERA ensures transparency, accountability, and efficiency in real estate transactions, protecting the interests of homebuyers and promoting fair practices among developers.
Key Functions of TG-RERA
- Project Registration: All real estate projects in Telangana with land area exceeding 500 sq. meters must be registered with TG-RERA before advertising or selling.
- Agent Registration: Real estate agents operating in Telangana must obtain TG-RERA registration to facilitate transactions.
- Complaint Resolution: Homebuyers can file complaints (Form M for Authority, Form N for Adjudicating Officer) against developers for project delays, defects, or violations.
- Suo Motu Actions: TG-RERA initiates proceedings against developers who advertise or sell without mandatory registration.
- Quarterly Progress Reports (QPR): Registered projects must submit quarterly updates on construction progress and financial status.
How to File a Complaint with TG-RERA?
Homebuyers in Telangana can file complaints against developers through the TG-RERA portal at complaints-rera.telangana.gov.in. Use Form M for complaints before the Authority and Form N for compensation claims before the Adjudicating Officer. The filing fee is Rs. 1,000 for individual complainants.
