Who is Exempt from OC?
Individual residential buildings on plots up to 200 square meters (~240 square yards) with building height up to 7 meters (ground floor or ground + 1 floor) are exempted from requiring an Occupancy Certificate. Formal OC Inspection (Above 500 sqm)
All buildings on plots above 500 square meters, with height above 10 meters, or any non-residential building requires a formal OC inspection. A team from the local authority physically inspects the building for compliance with the approved plan, structural safety, fire safety measures, water supply, sanitation, and other norms.
