Telugu Word - తణ్కర్స్

A tribe of people inhabiting the hill country in Ramgarh and Chota-Nagpur; some of them come periodically into the plains for employment and are engaged as laborers and scavengers; in Marathi, shepherds. While primarily associated with other regions, the term 'Dhangars' could appear in historical Telangana land documents if there were instances of this community migrating to the plains for work, potentially as agricultural laborers or shepherds on large estates.
